One of the most important concepts in trading is to trade the trend. But what is a trend? How to find it?  We are now given a simple way to identify trend. In Dr. Schaap’s book ADXcellence, he identifies trend using structural pivots and ADX.  

Dr. Schaap has written The Book for using ADX/ DMI, ADXcellence: Power Trend Strategies. He identifies trend and strategies to use. In Chapter 8, page 140, Power Trend Principles, he says, “The best trend trading opportunities are found when ADX is strong and rising(range expansion).
